Magnesium Malate  is a combination of magnesium and malic acid. Both of these substances help produce energy for your cells in the form of adenosine triphosphate (ATP), which studies show can be deficient in fibromyalgia (FMS) and chronic fatigue syndrome (CFS or ME/CFS).  A highly bioavailable form of magnesium. It contains di-magnesium malate, which is magnesium bound to malic acid.  Magnesium is one of the most critical minerals in the human body, and is involved in hundreds of enzyme reactions. Malic acid is a compound found naturally in apples and other fruits and vegetables and is included because of its role in the Krebs cycle, the energy-producing system in the body.

Benefits of Magnesium Malate + Malic Acid:-

  • Malic acid is Vital to Cellular Energy Production to make energy by playing a role in the complex process of deriving adenosine triphosphate (ATP; the energy currency that runs the body) from food. Research shows that malic acid combined with magnesium may help with the symptoms of fibromyalgia.*  Combined with Max COQ10  by Adaptogen Research.
  • Reduces Fibromyalgia Related Pain is a complex disease which causes sometimes debilitating pains. It’s symptoms often come and go with little predictability. The causes of fibromyalgia aren’t currently well-understood, and there isn’t currently an FDA-approved treatment for it.  Fibromyalgia is a chronic neurological condition that causes:-
    • Excessive Fatigue
    • Deep Muscular Pain
    • Anxiety & Depression.

According to The National Fibromyalgia Association, malic acid from apples may be prescribed for fibromyalgia patients to increase energy levels. Very early clinical evidence seems to indicate that fibromyalgia patients may have difficulty creating malic acid.

  • Magnesium malate is considered an alpha hydroxy acid, and among the fruit-derived acids that are good for the skin. Fruit acids are typically used in cosmetics because they help exfoliate the skin.
    • They act as a mild face peel, and by doing so, give skin a youthful looking appearance.
  • Magnesium malate also promotes the production of saliva, which helps control oral bacteria. Because of its antiseptic properties, magnesium malate is used in toothpaste and mouthwash.

Malic acid is a compound found naturally in apples and other fruits and vegetables. Our body does produce malic acid,  but some people may benefit from increasing it through diet or supplements, especially in case of deficiency.
